About Nancy McKie

Hello, I'm Nancy — a contemporary artist based in the beautiful landscapes of Cumbria, in the north of England. My work is rooted in the natural world: the birds, plants, and quiet moments that surround me every day. I believe art should feel both personal and alive, and that's what I strive to bring into every piece I create.

My Story

Growing up surrounded by the sea and coastlines of Scotland, nature has always been my greatest teacher and muse. Over the years I've developed a practice that blends close observation with a contemporary sensibility — finding the extraordinary in the everyday, whether that's a wren perched on a branch or the shifting light across a winter field.

My work has found its way into homes and collections around the world, and I'm endlessly grateful for the community of art lovers who connect with what I make. With over 104,000 followers on Instagram, I share my process, inspirations, and new work regularly — come and say hello at @nancymdraws.

Exhibitions & Press

I was honoured to be featured in PORTA NYC's Art360 exhibition with my Field Studies series — a body of work exploring the relationship between birds and their habitats. My prints have also been featured on Wallbaby.com, among other platforms celebrating contemporary art for the home.

The Prints

Every print in my shop is produced to the highest standard. I use 260gsm smooth matte paper with pigmented inks that are fade-resistant and archive-quality — so your print will look just as beautiful in twenty years as it does today. Each piece is carefully packaged and sent with love.
